The Babyliss brand has been synonymous with incredible hair technology and the Babyliss Pro Nano Miracurl Steamtech Curl Machine is not one to disappoint. Instead of running off to the salon for curls that will make your friends jealous, it may be a good idea to try it out.
This little marvel strives to circumvent an issue that affects you and every other woman in the endless struggle for the perfect curl: how to get luscious locks without damaging those tresses. The design is ingenious as it incorporates steam, which allows for even heat distribution. Not only does it create those perfect curls whilst protecting the hair, it creates curls that last. You also no longer need to fear the frizz as the steam process smoothes out the curls and also adds a nice shiny touch. There are many other things I’ll cover here, so here a resume with what you’ll learn today:
- why I recommend the Babyliss Steamtech
- how is it working
- where to find the best deal
The mechanism allows for consistent curls which means that the curls in the back and the curls in the front are more consistent. This is consoling should you have to do your hair in a mirrorless environment. It is designed to envelop the curl in a nice heated hug, the chamber surrounds the hair strand to allow the heat to penetrate it from all angles. This is an incredible design aspect as the strand stays warm as a whole. This adds to the length of time your hair will remain curled.
If you are concerned that this curling machine has a one-size-fits-all approach, you will be pleasantly surprised as the design caters to your individual needs. It allows you to control the time, heat and curl direction. The time setting allows your curl to set for 8, 10 or 12 seconds. This is great if you’re having a grooming party as the short setting will be ideal for your friends with fine hair and the long setting for those who tend to have hair that’s a bit more stubborn. You also have a 0 timer setting, which allows you to decide the amount of time you would like your curl to remain in the chamber. Heat settings work in more or less the same way as the timer setting and is a great way of ensuring that you don’t over-expose your hair. The temperatures available are 375 degrees F, 410 degrees F or 450 degrees F. The hotter the setting the tighter your curl will be. Once again for fine hair it’s best to use the lower settings to ensure you’re not over-exposing your hair. Possibly one of the most impressive settings on this device is the direction setting. Many girls prefer their curls to be away from their face, which means that you would need to be able to change direction. The alternate setting is also a great feature here, as it allows you to have a more natural curl. The final setting on this device is, of course, the steam option. It is your choice whether you would like to add steam to the process.
How Babyliss Pro Nano Miracurl Steamtech works
There are a few things to bear in mind when purchasing the Miracurl Steamtech Curl Machine. The curling chamber only allows for a small section of hair at a time to ensure even heat distribution. This in turn means that if you have a lot of hair, it may take a lot longer than you may have anticipated. Also, whilst the steam endeavors to protect the hair, it is important to still use heat protective products on your hair. The steam also assists in getting the curls to last longer, but that doesn’t mean you should not still use hairspray after as it will definitely aid your curls. Also, be careful of having the unit too close to your scalp or ears when using the steam function especially if you are prone to opening the device too quickly as the steam may just nick you on the ear. The actual chamber itself also tends to get a bit hot so try no to rest it against your flesh.
The use of the device is fairly simple. Make sure it is plugged in and switched on. There is a light on the device itself which indicates whether it’s on or not. Once you’ve portioned up your hair and selected your time and heat settings, hold the device up to about one to two inches away from the roots. The chamber should face you. Once you’ve placed the first part of the strand inside, it will suck in the rest of the strand. The beeps indicate the time settings: 3 beeps represent 8 seconds, 4 beeps represent 10 seconds and 5 beeps 12 seconds. A faster beep indicates that the curl is ready to be released and there you have your first curl. If you intend to use the steam function, you will need to fill the reservoir. Before opening it, make sure the device is turned off. Pull out the unit and remove the rubber cap. To ensure the longevity of the device and no clogging occurs, it is important to only use distilled water. When placing the reservoir back into the device, you will know it’s fitted when you hear a click. Empty the reservoir after use.
Reviews on this product from various sites including Amazon.com have been very favorable where the product is concerned. A down-draw on the product is, unfortunately, the price. Compare this with a few sessions with a stylist, however, and the price will justify the use. That, of course, is of you are going to use it regularly. + I’ve found this great offer that you should check out before anything else. Considering the time it takes to curl all those individual strands, the weight of the device will come into play here. You can always see this as a healthy mix of toning and curling which in turn makes up for the time it takes to curl. Users are very impressed with the time the device takes to heat up. Some users have also experienced their curls lasting longer than the anticipated 24 hours, with some of them enjoying their curls for up to an impressive 3 days. That is definitely worth the process and good value for spend as some salon curls don’t even last that long.
